Designed by the legendary Sixten Ivarsson, Stanwell’s Shape 45 is the quintessential Danish interpretation of the classic Pot. Stout, broad-walled, and incredibly comfortable in the hand, this select estate piece hails from the highly coveted "Brazilia" series of the 1980s. Celebrated for its striking contrast stain and organic material accents, this example has been meticulously preserved and stands in absolute top-notch, near-mint condition.
The Briar & Authentic Horn Accent
The stummel is dressed in a rich, warm amber contrast finish, showcasing a dense array of birds-eye grain on the flanks transitioning into tight cross-grain along the front and back. The defining crown jewel of this pipe is its natural horn shank extension. The horn displays gorgeous, organic striations of cream, translucent honey, and deep charcoal, terminating in a perfectly flush, hand-fitted vulcanite stem.
Curation Notes:
Condition: Excellent / Near-Mint. The wide, flat rim is entirely flawless with perfect, crisp geometry and zero darkening or charring. The chamber walls are structurally sound and clean.
Stem: Original black vulcanite saddle bit featuring a comfortable, slim button layout. The tenon junction at the horn extension is tight, precise, and factory-perfect.
