W.Ø. Larsen Selected Straight Grain Classic - Estate
A High-Grade Danish Canvas with a Story to Tell
From the legendary Copenhagen workshop of W.Ø. Larsen comes this absolutely stunning, tight straight-grain classic. It features a sweeping, elegant profile and a bowl enveloped in a breathtaking field of vertical flame grain. Having seen very little actual smoke time, the inner chamber and the elegant vulcanite stem are in near-mint condition.
The Honest Truth: A Budget-Friendly Beauty
Let’s address the elephant in the workshop: at some point in its past life, this beautiful piece had an unexpected meeting with a hard floor. As visible in our detailed photography, there is a grouping of small dings on the outer edge of the rim , a tiny cosmetic chip right at the shank-stem junction, and a minor ding on the opposite side of the shank.
None of these minor battle scars affect the airtight engineering, the structural integrity, or the legendary smoking qualities of the pipe. While it might prevent it from sitting in a pristine museum display case, it opens up a rare opportunity for a budget-conscious enthusiast to own a world-class, straight-grain W.Ø. Larsen smoker at a fraction of the usual collector price.
Condition: Meticulously Cleaned & Polished. The stem holds a deep black luster, and the briar has been treated to a premium carnauba buffing. It’s ready to be a high-grade, worry-free daily workhorse.
Since everyone has their own preferred methods to clean and sterilise internals of the shank and stem, we have intentionally not done this.
