The Briar & Flow
Carved from a massive, high-grade block of briar, this Freehand features an asymmetrical, organically contoured bowl that balances seamlessly on a wide, integrated flat plateau base. The stummel acts as a canvas for a stunning display of tight flame grain and swirling birdseye, highlighted by a rich, golden-orange contrast finish. The rim is crowned with a rugged, deeply craggy natural plateau top that adds beautiful texture to the otherwise glassy, mirrored polish.
Curation Notes:
Condition: Excellent / Lightly Smoked. The internal chamber and draft hole are clean, sound, and ready for immediate service. Externally, the briar finish has been meticulously detailed, retaining sharp lines and a high mirror shine entirely free of fills or heat fissures.
Stem & Comfort: Fitted with its original, high-grade vulcanite saddle stem featuring an elegant multi-tiered accent flare. The stem has been thoroughly de-oxidized and buffed to an obsidian gleam.
Nomenclature: Stamped deeply and cleanly on the flat, smooth underside
Features the elegant, vintage Big Ben cursive script.
Anchored by the classic circular MADE IN HOLLAND factory stamp.
Restoration Transparency: To maintain our standard of absolute transparency, please note there is microscopic tooth chatter on the very tip of the upper bite zone. It has been smoothed down cleanly during restoration, does not affect the structural integrity or comfort of the button, and is virtually unnoticeable to the naked eye.
Since everyone has their own preferred methods to clean and sterilise internals of the shank and stem, we have intentionally not done this.
