The Architecture & Sandblast Texture
Built on a beautifully balanced, lightweight Billiard frame, the stummel showcases Dunhill’s legendary Shell Briar execution. The sandblast is deep, layered, and tightly packed, revealing a gorgeous cascading ring grain that wraps completely around the bowl and flows seamlessly across the shank. The rim is cleanly blasted, displaying a wonderful, rugged texture that gives the pipe immense tactile character.
The stark, dark ruggedness of the briar is beautifully broken up by a broad, polished factory sterling silver military mount stamped DUNHILL MADE IN ENGLAND. This army-style mount allows for seamless, safe breakdown even while the pipe is hot. The stem is an absolute work of minimalist art—an ultra-svelte, pencil-thin vulcanite stem that terminates in a classic, thin fishtail bit for a weightless, effortless hang in the jaw.

Condition: Excellent, highly preserved vintage estate condition. The sandblast texture remains sharp and un-rubbed, the rim is exceptionally clean, and the airway is completely clear.
Stem & Comfort: Original jet-black vulcanite pencil-taper military saddle stem featuring the iconic Dunhill "White Spot" inlay. The fishtail button is sharp, crisp, and free of deep tooth marks or oxidation.

The underside of the vulcanite stem is explicitly stamped with the historical 2S size and shape code (denoting a Group 2 scale with a specialised saddle profile).
