The Architecture & Fraternal Shell Sandblast
Shape 513 is a definitive, no-nonsense English Billiard featuring a tall, muscular bowl and a sharp, straight shank that transitions flawlessly into a crisp vulcanite stem. Dressed in the elite "Briar Bark" finish—Parker’s direct equivalent to the legendary Dunhill Shell—the stummel features an exceptionally deep, craggy sandblast. The high relief crags wrap spectacularly around the entire bowl, culminating in a beautiful, rugged plateau-style rim.
Stained in a rich, dark midnight-espresso tone with soft maroon undertones catching the light, it is a brilliant example of mid-century British industrial elegance.
Curation Notes:
Condition: Outstanding Estate Condition and given a light briar-wax polish. The chamber walls are completely solid and sound. The original vulcanite stem fits perfectly flush and tight; under close studio inspection, an absolutely minor trace of micro-chatter is present on the underside of the bit, completely stable and comfortable.
Nomenclature: Stamped with sharp, legible definition on the smooth panels beneath the shank:
PARKER arched over BRIAR BARK, flanked by a crisp [SUPER] in a diamond frame.
MADE IN LONDON ENGLAND flanked by a clear, standalone 4 in a circle and the shape designation 513.
Since everyone has their own preferred methods to clean and sterilise internals of the shank and stem, we have intentionally not done this.
