The Architecture & British Heritage The Dunhill Bruyere finish is the bedrock upon which the White Spot legacy was built. Dating to 1978, this Group 5 specimen showcases the iconic deep ruby-mahogany stain over smooth, densely packed grain. The bowl features a gently flared profile with a flat, clean rim, transitioning seamlessly into a sweeping, elegant bend. The factory stamping remains crisp and unbuffed along the shank face. Paired with its original black vulcanite stem bearing the bright White Spot inlay, this piece represents British pipe making at its absolute refined peak.
Curation Notes:
Condition: Near-Mint / Exceptional Estate Condition. The chamber is solid, clean, and prepped. The rim is completely flat and sharp with zero inner beveling or burn. The stummel retains a high glass polish, showing only a few microscopic storage marks under direct inspection. The stem is jet-black, free of tooth impression or bite marks, and holds a mirror shine.
Nomenclature: Crisp, legible stamping on the shank: 51152 over DUNHILL over BRUYERE, accompanied by MADE IN ENGLAND 18 (dating to 1978).
