Savinelli Autograph Grade 3 - Vintage New Old Stock

€345.00

An Unsmoked Vintage Italian High-Grade Featuring Early Block Stamping, Flame Grain, and Original Velvet Pouch

The Architecture & Italian Freehand Heritage Introduced in the early 1970s, the Savinelli Autograph series represents the pinnacle of Italian freehand pipe making. Carved by hand from top-tier extra-extra plateau briar blocks, each Autograph is shaped first and drilled second to allow the natural growth of the wood to guide the silhouette. This earlier Grade 3 specimen features a commanding, forward-leaning smooth bowl with sweeping flame grain along the profile, transitioning down to a deeply rusticated and sandblasted underside and shank. The heel showcases a smooth oval bed with clean block-letter stamping—a key mark of earlier production runs before script markings dominated. Paired with its original black vulcanite stem featuring the gold signature inlay, this pipe comes complete with its factory Savinelli velvet pouch.

Curation Notes:

  • Condition: New Old Stock (NOS) / Unsmoked. The chamber is factory-fresh and unsmoked. The smooth, golden-cognac bowl top displays pristine grain with zero wear or storage marks. The rusticated underside remains crisp and unbuffed. The stem exhibits a mirror shine with no oxidation, chatter, or tooth impressions.

  • Nomenclature: Block stamping on smooth heel bed: SAVINELLI over AUTOGRAPH with ITALY 3 stamped below. Top flat of stem bears the original gold cursive Autograph inlay.

  • Included: Original Savinelli velvet pouch included.

Since everyone has their own preferred methods to clean and sterilise internals of the shank and stem, we have intentionally not done this.
